Dr Jane Tuomola completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Sheffield in the UK. She worked for many years in the UK National Health Service, focusing on adult mental health. Her work included both primary and secondary mental health care services as well as acute psychiatric wards. Jane has worked with individuals, couples and families using a range of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy and solution focused therapy.

Since moving to Singapore in 2008, Jane has provided psychological therapy to many individuals and couples. Jane’s work with adults covers a broad range of issues such as: anxiety, depression (including post-natal depression), stress, bereavement, domestic violence, anger, self-harm, adjustment and relationship issues. She also has experience of working with people suffering with more severe mental health problems, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

She has a keen interest in mental health promotion: writing articles and giving talks on a variety of mental health issues to local organisations. She supervises several Clinical Psychologists in training (at James Cook University and National University of Singapore), and offers individual and team supervision to other qualified mental health professionals.

Jane is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS). She is an Accredited Practitioner with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). She is also a member of the Singapore Psychological Society and is on the Singapore Register of Psychologists. She is a Certified Solution Focused Therapist with the Canadian Council of Professional Certification.Further information
